As a child, I was hyperactive by nature. At the age of 14-15, I started to do competitive gymnastics, taught acrobatic skydiving and performed air gliding and dance activities. Later on, while I was studying painting at the Istanbul Art Academy, I learnt from Oğuz Aral the art of pantomime. As one of the first models for Vakko, one of the oldest high end boutiques of Turkey, I had the opportunity to act in shows and advertising shootings. All of this offered me the exquisite privilege to travel and live all around the world.
While I was teaching aerobics at the New York YMCA, my excessive trainings injured my knees. It was at that time that my inner voice taught me to start Yoga.
While I was teaching Yoga at Club Patara in Kalkan (Turkey), I realized how important it was to teach Yoga in a conscious and knowledgeable manner. I started my journey to find the knowledgeable guides on Yoga. I had the ultimate privilege of learning from my various teachers, healers, gurus and masters all over India and in the Far East. During this deep apprenticeship period of my life which lasted 10 years, I was living 6 months in India, 3 months in Kalkan and 2 months in the United States.
In 1996 I followed my inner voice who led me to teach Yoga in Istanbul. During 2 consecutive years, I taught Yoga in Istanbul and outside the metropolis, seven days a week, sometimes 4-5 classes a day.
In 1997 i established and founded a Yoga school which I named after one of my Guru’s school SIDDASHRAM YOGA CENTER.
An Ashram is a place where the Guru lives and teaches. SIDDASHRAM means the metaphysical heaven where enlightened Guru’s souls travel, after they leave their earthly bodies. My middle name “Siddviho” comes from “Sidd” as a homage to Buddha’s Siddhartha, also from the derivative word of “Siddha” meaning accomplished or ready, while “Viho” is the spiritual name of a native American chief from the Sioux tribe, which I had a luck and chance to stay as a guest for a few days. My goal for SIDDASHRAM, above all is to be able to serve mankind even to the extent if I may the whole of Creation as well as, I voluntarily to be able to share the same path, to those who are willing to expand their awareness and spiritual well-being through my knowledge and experiences in Classical Spiritual Yoga.
