On Yoga with Yogi Adnan Çabuk…

Hatice Kapudere:
How did yoga get into your life? What did it feel? How has your life changed after yoga?

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
I was living in New York and teaching Thai Chi. Thai Chi is based on balance, when mental balance occurs, inner balance also occurs. There is also this in yoga. Tai Chi was also very strong. It was also aesthetic, beautiful, I was young, very cool. At that time I did not understand Tai Chi very deeply, I understood very superficially. I made tai chi for 10-15 years, I became a teacher. One day I hurt my knees while doing aerobics. You will not fall into the hands of the bad teacher, my knees hurt because my teacher did not warn me. This is so in everything, so is in yoga. On the day I hurt my knee, the voice in me said that now you will do yoga. This is the physical explanation of my starting yoga. But then I realized that the business has a philosophical dimension, yoga is not just a physical thing. We are on a platform at every moment of our lives. We have roles. Sometimes we are in the lead role, sometimes in the role of extras. A new platform is waiting for us if we do what it takes and play a good game. While exhibiting these games, we come across what we deserve or the time has come. That day my new name was yoga.

Coming to the second question, what has yoga changed in my life? First, I made yoga on a physical scale. I started with a yoga instructor, he made the hardest movements on the first day. This is usually the case, they show difficult movements on the very first day, so that I am a good teacher, I will teach hard things. I was an acrobat. I did it because I was in shape. But then I felt it couldn’t be that simple, I said that yoga can’t be this. I decided to learn this, bought books. I came to Kalkan, my dear friend Turhan Kaşo, to Clup Patara houses, I was a shaman, I taught yoga. I realized that there is no information to teach yoga, that is, real yoga. Yes, I act, but this is not yoga. I can hurt people, I don’t know anatomy, I don’t know exactly what the movement is good for. I said I have no right, I have to learn like a man if I will teach. I said this is best learned in India, I planned immediately. I went to Svananda ashram, getting the certificate was fortunate. We had 175 people with the knowledge of anatomy, it was a very good foundation, I was one of the 4 people who asked the most questions. Then I realized that as I got into it, this subject was very deep, Sivananda is not enough, this is just A of the job. I said I should find a guru and set off. I’m obsessed with Kundalini. I scanned all of India, so I would definitely discover Kundalini, I searched for a master in Kundalini and found Atree.

What did yoga bring to my life? Yoga seemed very satellite to me. It was like my skin and I realized that I could never leave yoga anymore, and I said that it was me. When I found Tai Chi, I said I found my sport. After wearing yoga as a cover on me, Tai Chi has lost my life, and I have seen the continuity of energy in Yoga. There was a conscious opening. Becoming more universal, less materialistic, less selfish, more attentive, more sensitive. And I understood that the service that I was giving when teaching yoga to people is indispensable. I understood that this should spread a lot since I saw many benefits. And I said, I’ve decided I’m going to spring tanıtacag yoga in Turkey. It was a great boon for me to turn my life into a service and a meaning while living a casanova or adventurer life; otherwise my life would be wasted. Now a few people are happy working with me, I get their prayers. Happily we met.

Hatice Kapudere:
Yoga was your purpose of life in a sense, was it your dharma?

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
After I learned yoga, I realized that my dharma (my way of service) was yoga. because it was very convenient for me. I could have been tai chi, pantomime, music teacher, teacher of many things. But none of them could make me as happy as yoga. That’s why I had my Dharma, I am thankful to the creator that he showed me this, and he was grant. We took a step, but I hope that we will go long together.

After I knew yoga, I was curious about sufism. I was searching systems all over the world in search of truth. What is the truth? I have traveled the world for years to search for it. I saw that yoga gained perfection with sufism. He gains perfection with yoga in sufism. We combined these two and we teach it that way.

Does he find the true meaning of yoga in the world and in Turkey? Can it be understood and taught as it should be? I can say that 10% maybe reaches its target in the classical sense. Apart from that, it stays in 90% peel. As in all religions and other teachings. It is not the same as what is said to be true. In yoga, you can do the best movements, then go and lie, and yoga will not be. As far as I can see, only 10% really practice yoga with its philosophy. This is everywhere, this is the case in America and India. Do not think that there are more spiritual people in India. Do you know where is the most? In Anatolia. I taught in the USA, I taught in India. Anatolia is the place with the most spiritual depth. The 16th colony of Mu civilization is the Turks. So this is in our genetics. Anatolia is really important and will increase in importance. If we look at Mevlana, we can see that he has taken the flag all over the world. People are now following Mevlana. Because it tells very well. Many teachings are catching the truth, but catching doesn’t mean being able to give. Mevlana is the person who best expresses the truth with his poems. No one could say deep, fancy and dignified until Mevlana, and could not say with elegance.

Hatice Kapudere:
What do you think about the fate of yoga? Do we start making our own choices as our awareness increases? Where is the place where we draw our own destiny?

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
We have a general line fate. What’s that? The country where I was born is the city, my mother, my father. This does not change. All the decor in my life is left to us. When we say it is left to us, our brain capacity, the self-wisdom that the creator gave us. The wisdom in me brings the continuation of our destiny. Capacity is very important. Self wisdom in my control. Knowledge from his past, childhood, upbringing, relative, school, the rules of society are his car. He will drive the car. But most importantly, the capacity that the creator bestowed on him. A lot of information is given to those coming to the magazine, but everyone understands it on a different level. Because we think we will understand everything with our own brain. There is also the brain of our heart. It doesn’t happen with world concerns. He will know that he will earn enough money by doing the right things even if he is communicating with his heart. But if the heart is not open, if not open enough, the message remains slow. Can’t keep up with the speed of the brain.

Hatice Kapudere:
Then, is it necessary to open our heart brain?

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
Yes, not only open the brain, but to open the heart. Yoga definitely improves our brain. But if we cannot open our hearts, we will be materialist actors. We become very famous, we earn money, we become strong, our intelligence is far ahead. Our spiritual aspect does not improve. Go from yoga. I see sufism in elegance. Otherwise, it says the same thing in yoga or sufism.

Hatice Kapudere:
It helps to quit worldly matters, so is there devotion?

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
Let me explain as follows. There are two parts in yoga called patch nyama. Karma yoga, inyana yoga? bhakti yoga., These are in patch nama. We call it yoga with 7 branches, and when we do it completely while doing yoga, we do those seven branches. The last step is enlightenment, we can’t count it. The feature of Sufism is here. It starts with Bhakti. One step ahead, this is very slow in Yoga. You get stronger, show off, sit upright. You work hard until you get rid of the purification and purification. In Sufism, you have to immediately leave the ego and start with bhakti, so it starts one step ahead. Bhakti begins with karma and inyana. You will serve (karma), look at what you are looking for (inyana) and be faithful (bhakti). you will believe in the existence of the universal formation. If you have a teacher, you will surrender to the teacher. You will surrender to the Creator, this will bring you modesty. It takes a long time to achieve them in yoga, but you will start them immediately in sufism. That’s why sufism is so important. The first advantage of yoga is that it provides health.

Hatice Kapudere:
What do you think about presenting yoga with different names? In essence, there is only one yoga, but it can be marketed with very different names, especially in the West.

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
There is really only yoga. This is also asthang. Patanjali divided yoga into eight beautiful sections. Later, in India, where different teachers were trained, they rightly gave their names. But they all taught the same thing, they tried to stick to Patanjali. But not all of them showed the same loyalty. Swami Swananda was the most loyal person among the schools I have seen. After getting to know Iyengar, I understood that he had a good grasp of this business. But not all of the other schools were so important to stick to the past. So there is actually one yoga. When it comes to the West, the work has changed, the Western is not interested in turning into it. How can I look good, how can I stay healthy, how can I find myself a good torch? And he was given yoga with names such as dynamic yoga, power yoga, partner yoga. How about yoga? They do double yoga under the name Tantra yoga. There are very degenerate systems under the name of yoga. There is Bikram yoga, very common in America. They do yoga in 40 degree rooms. This is not yoga, it is a very harmful practice. How are you going to breathe in such a hot room? How will you meditate? It’s a shame to call it yoga. It is the work done with the desire to earn money by removing it from the corner of yoga. How do I make money, it’s just breathing. How I make money is concentration, meditation only. But none of them are fully yoga. To be yoga, you need to understand the patch and patch first. One has to cost them to life.

Hatice Kapudere:
So what can we do to introduce true yoga, hojam? What can be done to spread it a little more?

Yogi Adnan Çabuk:
We can do this by explaining his philosophy wholeheartedly. You cannot describe yoga without telling about this termination. Yoga is not religion, it is not showing off. It is not a profession, these are very important issues. It is made to reveal one’s own power and to bring its consciousness to universal dimension. We normally live with personal consciousness.

When we begin to open from universal consciousness to universal consciousness, ourselves becomes true yoga.

Yoga has been written in India with goodbye and has always been practiced in India. In many parts of the world, there may have been tablets of people doing yoga in America, Africa and Asia, but it is India that provides the continuity of this. What kind of studies are you doing in Alanya Ashram, what is its purpose? Is there a big difference from India?

Yogi Adnan Hodja:
We started as Alanya Ashrama purification camp, so we continued. The person who comes there will stay for a week, receive vegetarian, organic food; plenty of healthy foods, vegetables and fruits. He will do plenty of yoga and healthy walks. Yoga will be able to understand the philosophy of yoga. He will return to his old life with a package and apply it in his life, and at least spend some of his life. Otherwise, this is not just a holiday program. We wholeheartedly wish that all that we do, our intentions, our behaviors will be beneficial to the universe and to all humanity, with everything we do consciously or unconsciously.
